Camtech Broadband and Normando (owner) are fabulous. I live remotely and was previously limited to Satellite Internet. Satellite has inherent problems which can be very frustrating to deal with. My max download speed was 3.45 mbps and upload under 1 mbps. Plus there was a serious issue with signal latency which made making cell phone calls over the internet (I do not get cell signal at my home so I must use wifi) and clients and others were complaining that my calls were so fragmented as to be unintelligible.
Normando worked very hard to get me a signal where others could not. It took him a bit and he took it as a personal challenge. He even built a customer receiver.
Well - after all the effort - Camtech Broadband was able to get me close to 20 mbps download and upload with no latency. I am now streaming in high definition and my phone calls are like normal phone calls with no latency. My contacts are super excited.
And he did this all for about $25 per month less than I was paying for Satellite.
I am a very happy customer. Highly recommended.

We've lived in a rural valley of Ramona for over 38 years now. We first had phone line, then Satellite, then switched to Radio Signal about 12 years ago. Each switch was a great improvement, but as our Internet usage increased so did the delay times. When Normando came out in early October 2020 he discovered that we have a line of sight to Mount Woodson in the back corner of our acre. He explained that he was unsure about our area, but if we could obtain a signal from Mt. Woodson our speeds would increase 10 fold. He came out a couple of weeks later after we had installed a 10 foot pole in the back corner of our lot and then discovered that there was a rock on Mt. Woodson in our line of sight. Within about 15 minutes, he accessed other options and set us up with ATT's 20Mbps Down/10Mbs Upload for $75 a month. He explained that while other companies would sell us a max of 20Mbps, he actually would be sending us higher speeds (today's download is 26.22, upload 13.81, 25 latency) for the 20Mbps package. He downloaded the Speedtest app on all 7 of our devices so we could assess in real time the performance of our connection. He charged us just the cost of a new WiFi router he had on hand and quickly installed it with a much more powerful signal through out our home so we can now watch movies on our Smart TV! Our previous provider sold us a 20Mbps subscription that our actual speeds never attained to. CamTech's policy is to undersell and over deliver on actual download speed which is very commendable!

I am a very happy customer. Highly recommended.I live remotely and was previously limited to Satellite Internet which did not work very well but I thought was the only option.CamTech Broadband was able to get me five times the download speed with no satellite latency for about $25 less per month and with no maximum usage limit. To say I am very happy would be an understatement.The latency with the satellite was a particular problem because I do not get cell signal at my home so I must use wifi and clients and others were complaining that my calls were so fragmented as to be unintelligible. Camtech Broadband has been a game changer for us in rural Ramona (Mt. Woodson area). We were with another (local) company which charged just as much and gave very little in terms of speed (15Mb down, which was unreliable). I highly recommend Camtech and have been telling my friends about them. I work in tech, and working from home my speed up/down has been reliant.

Normando came out the next day after I used their online appointment booker, and installed right away. He scoped the site and found the best spot, and had me us and running in an hour. I have called a few times and he has always been responsive and polite.

All in all solid 10/10 - hard to find internet companies these days that care about their customers!

This is a Terrific internet service company. I’m really happy chosen them .They have really good service I’v ever had.The Wi-Fi speed is very fast. When I use one TV, two computers and three mobile phones at the same time, it is still as fast as lightning. It is better than several other companies I have used before. It is worth saying that the boss and employee Julian are very professional, patient，punctuality and work quickly. They are considerate and humanized for their customers. I give them a 5-star plus rating and highly recommend !!!

I actually paid a down payment for an appointment with a satellite company because (supposedly) that was my only option for my remote home location. I happened to remember seeing this company's advert and thought "what the heck", and gave it a try. After my first phone call with CamTech, I immediately canceled my previous appointment and bought a router on Amazon and waited patiently for a few days for our installation (they are BUSY, which is a good thing!). We are so very glad we found this company, we have FAST and RELIABLE internet for all of our needs. It's been about a week since our fast, knowledgeable and very helpful installer came out and we couldn't be more pleased. Great customer service!

CamTech changed my life! (7-9-2020) Ramona/Mount WoodsonI just was just installed by the most professional provider I've ever had come to my home. Normando put on a mask due to Covid-19, and never took it off. I felt like he really was concerned about my health. He arrived early after a call letting me know he could be here earlier than my scheduled appointment if I was available. A true professional install using the highest quality materials, AND asking me exactly what I expected and where I wanted to have my router located. Oh, and the install COST ME NOTHING!!! Normando is that confident in his service!My wife and I are teachers and my college age children needed fast, but more importantly, reliable broadband access. And we got exactly that! We've spent the last four months in excruciating pain with our previous provider not having enough speed or data, unless it was 3a.m. My wife and my son this morning, both at the same time had video meetings and after more than an hour emerged from their meetings grinning from ear to ear, "perfect, not a problem, no buffering" , they both commented. They both finished on time and were able to get on with their day.In conclusion, if you're looking for a professional, friendly, caring broadband company then you should get CamTech Broadband! If you're looking for fast, reliable broadband service at a extremely fair price you should get CamTech Broadband! Changed my life...Oh, and this is a completely honest review. We had several companies come out to our place in back country of Ramona, take look and say, they could not service us because of our location. Called CamTech in one day and they had tech come out the next day. Normando was awesome; he had to get a little creative but had us up and running within less than an hour. So far, we have not had any problems with connectivity and we can stream in 4K. Did I mentioned that I could stream in 4K?

We’ve had internet with CamTech for a couple of months now. Normando is a fantastic guy who is out here bringing reliable and fast internet to areas of San Diego where the bigger companies don’t serve, and at very reasonable prices. I made it clear that I was willing to pay for the top tier option, and he convinced me that it wasn’t necessary, didn’t want to charge for more than what I needed. He was right, for $95/month I can stream live sports and do whatever else online. If I was a gamer I’d need more but for me the service is great. Classy guy all around.If you’re in Ramona or other rural parts of SD, CamTech and Normando are the ones to call!

5 stars aren't enough!!!Normando with CamTech Broadband is the BEST! We recently moved to Ramona from the Clairemont area of San Diego and discovered that none of the usual internet providers offered service in the Dos Picos Park area. Since I work from home and my kids are all homeschooled, internet was a dealbreaker for our daily life. Thankfully, Normando came highly recommended by our property manager.I asked Normando if he could come out and determine if he can get service in this area before I signed a lease on the property. He came out and spent nearly 2 hours working to get the best signal possible so I could confidently sign our lease knowing I would be able to get internet.He came out a week later to install the antenna the day of our move-in and he remained committed to getting the best signal possible since we weren't getting the same test speeds when he tested it the week prior.He followed up the next day to see how the internet was working for us and offered a possible solution to improve our connectivity... he came out and installed a second antenna and set us up with another router in another part of the house to improve our bandwidth.I cannot praise Normando enough for his commitment to excellent customer service and satisfaction. He is friendly, reliable, honest, and dedicated to helping those in remote areas get the best possible internet at reasonable rates!If you're in Ramona or another underserved area, you will be hard-pressed to find anyone better. I have been pleasantly surprised with the service CamTech provides. We received same day service on a weekend (which is unheard of) after having a limited choice of providers in our area. Installation was quick and clean. The service is not yet perfected but it has been really good considering our use. We have two gamers in the house playing simultaneously and usually have at least a laptop and two phones running on it all at once at any given time. It has great speed however will occasionally drop offline and then come back. My guess is weather & winds are a factor (we are in a more rural part of Escondido). I would not necessarily attribute this to the service itself and haven’t yet reached out to confirm. I would absolutely recommend CamTech’s internet services as we have been very happy thus far!

Out of all the internet providers here in town (I've dealt with all of them), CamTech has been by far the best experience in customer service and internet service. I live at the bottom of Mussey Grade in Ramona. The past 10 years internet has been a huge problem for us. I felt like I was paying for satellite internet and receiving basically nothing in return . My kids are gamers and were getting 600 ping- so they really couldn’t even play - here comes CAMTECH - 💥 BOOM now they are at 39 ping. They are so excited . .... so excited some how the internet cable got under a coach leg and ripped within a week - Normando came out so quick - on a Sunday morning and fixed it NO CHARGE - now THAT is amazing customer service . Julian came out to my home and spent at least an hour and a half talking to me and showed me the different speeds that I can get at my house on top of Vulcan mountain the service has been great so far have had no issues with zero lag or downtime I play multiple online games and the service is phenomenal I definitely recommend this to anybody looking for great internet access and rural areas when satellite is not an option trust me on this I have ViaSat with the highest speed possible at double the price of the service camtech offers ViaSat service is horrible their customer service is horrible as well thank you Camtech for providing me with great internet service

Finally was able to get internet way out in Shelter Valley thanks to CamTech! Installation was quick and simple. This is definitely the best option for our area. No data caps, throttling, or prioritizing- plus they offer higher speeds at cheaper monthly rates than satellite internet or Viasat. No deposit needed and no long term contract to commit to either. Everybody out here that wants better internet service should switch to CamTech.

I live out in the boonies between Ramona and Santa Ysabel. I have been using my cellular hotspot for internet for the last 5 years.With a 15GB monthly limit, which means no streaming and little to no updates on my games or computer. My only other option was satellite and it's expensive and has very low monthly limits as well. I got a card in the mail from CamTech and setup an appointment through their website thinking that I wouldn't be able to get service where I live. Normando came out a few days later and was able to get me a 15mbps down connection with no monthly limit. I can stream HD video, play games online with no lag, and download with no worries of running over a bandwidth limit. I previously tried another local company offering similar options as CamTech but they wouldn't even come out to the house to see if they could get a signal. Normando at CamTech was extremely polite and prompt. I highly recommend his service to anyone looking for a good internet connection in town or not.

Moved out here to a remote area in Ramona and I was worried about getting high speed internet much less broadband! Luckily, I found CamTech Broadband and I must say that the internet speed went beyond my expectations. I actually see no difference in speed versus the high speed internet I received from Cox Communications in Phoenix, AZ which I got the highest speed available. When I reached out to Normando via an email to find out more about CamTech Broadband, he quickly replied even though it was pretty late and even over the next few days when I sent him questions he was very responsive and always very courteous. He is very forthright as to what service he could provide in our area which I greatly appreciate (we are in between two hillsides in the Fernbrook area where service can be a challenge). I’ve been paying hundreds for the fastest speed with cable...but it never occurred to me to check what speed I was getting. On a Saturday morning at 8a I was only getting 10-21 mbps. So I called CAMTEC. Half the price, he followed up 2x to make sure we were happy, and I am getting 5x-10x the speed I was before. I am so happy. Wish I had switched sooner!

A human being picked up the phone when I called Camtech Broadband. They responded to check site and ultimately installed an LTE device within 2 hours of my call regarding broadband service.Service has been up ever since, approximately 3 months.Speed is always above my tier.Billing is online and easy.Stellar service.Recommend to anyone who is weary of dealing with ISP nightmares.The best broadband is broadband you do not have to think about.....

Excellent service from Normando. We moved to Ramona from El Cajon and had Cox, but they wouldn’t service our new home, in town, across the street from a Cox customer, unless we paid a $7K install fee. I went with CamTech because I needed internet for work, and I didn’t have time or money for Cox’s bs. Went with the recommended router and have had no problems doing all the things we did with Cox (working from home, streaming multiple devices at the same time) and it seems to be more reliable and have better coverage than the Cox modem/router with their mesh pods

When I could not get good Wi-Fi service from another provider, I tried CamTech.I called the office, they explained everything and scheduled an instal.The installers we super professional.Normando and Sean very helpful getting everything set up perfectly.And its FAST!

We live in a rural area and have been successful in getting wifi in our main house but were unable to get a signal to our guesthouse. Our tenant is working from home now and wifi is mandatory. We had three other companies out to test her house but all failed to connect to a signal. Normando came out just a few days after our call and was able to get excellent coverage in the guesthouse so we decided to replace what we had in the main house. No more buffering on Prime or Netflix and with three of us working from home the service is seamless. The install was FREE and Normando was done in less than an hour. Also, NO contracts! We're very satisfied and highly recommend Normando, owner of CamTech.

Fast and reliable internet connection! We have tested the speed every day during the last 10 days and it has never been lower than 20 mbps (North Broadway, Escondido). The installation was pretty fast and convenient, no additional fees for the router or credit check. Thank you very much! We do recommend!

We live in Rural Ramona and can’t get internet worth while. We’ve tried everything we could to get decent internet speeds. Finally! Cam tech provided us with great speeds 30+ mbps we could only get 10 mbps before. And the service by Normando was fantastic!

When we bought our house we kept the provider used by the previous owner. In our area there are not a lot of options. After doing some research I called Camtech Broadband and scheduled an appointment. Normando was amazing and had us up and running in about an hour. We had real spotty service before the switch and could not stream hardly anything. Now our speeds are super fast and so consistent. Thank you Normando! The only regret I have is not switching sooner. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs fast reliable internet in hard to service areas.

Normando is Awesome! Very professional service. Living in Santa Ysabel we had Visat and could not stream anything, couldn't connect outside of the home, and if someone else was using that internet good luck. We haven't been able to watch a movie all the way through without buffing 100 times in a year. I called Normando and he said he had a solution for better internet at faster speeds and alot less than what I was paying. He delivered on that. We can now stream movies, use our phones and my son can even play games all on line. I highly recommend Normando and lthis service.
